Open X Terminal on Fedora 11

   How to open shell x terminal on Fedora 11 Gnome Desktop to execute Linux command?  Now days every Linux distro comes with powerful graphical desktop and its seem that you dont ever have to type in Linux command anymore... but what if you do need to type in and execute Linux command while you are on these Desktop, usually there are x terminal in rescue... To execute command on Linux graphical desktop you can always use x terminal or hit the Ctrl+Alt and F key to use Linux shell virtual terminal if you want to execute the Linux command on full black screen without the graphical interface... The example below show step by step how you can open shell x terminal on Fedora 11 Gnome Desktop and start to execute Linux command inside the graphical desktop.

Gnome Desktop X Terminal on Fedora 11

1.  After you Log in on Fedora 11 desktop... you will see the menu bar.  Click on Application menu to expand the applications menu.

2.  Point your mouse pointer to System Tools menu .

3.  Then point you mouse pointer to Terminal

4.  and... Click on the Terminal menu button to open the X terminal inside Fedora 11 desktop.

5  The figure below show the example Linux x Terminal on Linux Fedora 11 desktop... now you can start type in and execute the Linux command on these x terminal without leaving the Graphical Desktop.
